Web & Communications Sidekick (Summer Intern)

Position Purpose:
  • To support TimeHero’s product and growth teams with various communications projects throughout the summer.
  • To develop business skills and gain experience in a fast-paced, tech start-up environment.

You'll do stuff like:

  • Write support articles to help users understand how to use the app.
  • Capture simple, easy-to-understand screenshots highlighting key steps in support articles.
  • Record videos showing how to use features within the app.
  • Add voice commentary to videos describing how to use features.
  • Social media management (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, etc.).
  • Learn and use new web-based tools.

Join our team of smart, hard-working and fun developers and business guys, while gaining experience in a fast paced, tech start-up environment.
We dress pretty casually, we’re inclusive, open-minded, and humorous. We’ve got standing desks. There's a great cafĂ© in our building. And we have a really big couch.
Our office is on the top floor of a heritage building, with wooden floors and exposed brick walls. Our boardroom table is made from an old bowling alley.
Wednesdays are grilled cheese days. We make pancakes on Monday mornings and have drinks Friday afternoon. Our fridge has a drawer full of chocolate.
This one time we went to a local pub and threw axes at targets. That was pretty cool.

You'll need to have:

  • Business skills: Customer support, Deadline management, Attention to detail
  • Web & software skills: Blog writing, Social media management, Media editing tools, Web-based tools.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year.
  • Is a student in secondary, post-secondary, CEGEP (Quebec only), vocational or technical program or graduated from program within previous academic year.
  • Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation.

It'd be great if you also had:

  • Experience with Trello, Asana, or other task management platforms
