We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager, with minimum 3 years experience, who is self-motivated with a sense of urgency, and driven to achieve successful outcomes for our clients. 

The ideal candidate will be switched on, super organised and welcome working directly with CEOs and business founders. They will have the confidence and experience to start work with a range of clients immediately under the guidance of our Managing Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acting as the day-to-day senior contact for clients
  • Strategy development
  • Confidence to produce creative and newsworthy content, thinking outside of the box to get cut through on story pitches to media
  • Writing media releases and pitches
  • Extensive media pitching and follow up
  • Managing account team activity and providing oversight and guidance for junior team members
  • Monitoring of media and social media to leverage proactive and reactive opportunities for clients
  • Campaign evaluation and reporting
  • Reporting to Managing Director
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 3 years public relations experience
  • A positive, vibrant, can-do attitude
  • Thirst for all things media, breaking news and story telling
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Must have national media contacts
  • An ability to craft client messaging that will speak to the intended audience, without using jargon that makes journalists hit the delete button (Yes, “disruption” we are looking at you)
  • An ability to offer strategic advice and counsel to clients
  • An ability to identify newsworthy angles and produce great news stories
  • A clear understanding that the success of our clients and our business relies on the results that we produce. Not afraid of hard work and persistence until those outcomes are achieved
  • Strong writing skills – media releases and pitches essentials. The ability to write thought leadership articles will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of business and lifestyle media
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent email and phone manner
